TYRA BANKS IS LEAVING HER TALK SHOW

Hello World!

Wow! Just when you thought nothing could top 2009 Miss Banks announces this will be her last season of her talk show. I don’t know about you but I thought she try to fill Oprah’s shoes. My money is definitely on Ellen now. Outside of Michelle Obama, Ellen did manage to join the Queen of Talk on the cover of her magazine.

Tyra’s announcement comes as a shock. She will focus more on the film side of her company Bankable Productions. She will continue to feature projects that showcase women of color. There’s hope that her and Oprah and partner up in that aspect. Tyra also said that she will continue her Top Model show.

Well it may be time for Tyra to hang it up and follow her mentor. She does have 2 Emmy’s under her belt for the show so it wasn’t like it was a complete waste of time.

OH MY OH MY AMBER ROSE IN VIBE!!!

Miss Amber has got to be on the end of the year list for the most Internet searches. This girl was everywhere in 2009 and she just completed a fabulous spread in Vibe Magazine.

I must admit I didn’t know if she would be able to completely transition from the pinup girl to high fashion but she pulled it off for Vibe. I’m not feeling her hair completely in the pics but it works for the editorial spread. You go girl! Please consider having your tattoo removed because it takes away from you.

CIARA MAY LOSE MODELING CONTRACT

In the dog eat dog eat world called modeling beauty is in the eye of the designers. While many strides have been made this year for the full figured models, some of the old schoolers still believe that you have to be tall and thin.

Ciara is the latest to fall into the pressure of having to lose some weight in order to keep her modeling contract. I personally think she looks fabulous with the extra weight. However as it relates to modeling, if she can’t fit into the clothes, that is a serious problem. Will Ciara fall victim to the pressure of being model thin?  Will she lose her contract with Wilhelminia Models? Only time will tell but this should be real interesting.

Ciara is the new face of Verizon and is being featured all over the place in a multi-media campaign that I am sure Wilhelminia landed for her. She is featured in the commercials dancing to her song “Work” while trying to persuade a male customer to purchase her LG Chocolate Touch phone.
