Fashion designer Mark Fast recently showcased his spring/summer line and featured plus size models Crystal Reen and Lizzie Miller. You may recall both of these women were featured in Glamour magazine last year creating a buzz for full figured models.
You can see Crystal strutting her stuff in a red dress and Lizzie in a navy blue dress. Both women look great but not as beautiful as they typically look. This show really wasn’t glamourous and the hair and makeup was natural and low maintenance.
Shout out to Mark Fast for deciding to showcase these gorgeous plus size models. Let’s just hope that the trend to use them continues in 2010. It’s great to see the “real woman” represented as the average size of women in the United States is that of a size 14.
What do you think of plus size models?

Who says 7 is deadly?
Look out world Glamour Magazine’s November issue is on newsstands now and features these 7 gorgeous plus size women of modeling. These women are bold and extremely comfortable in their own skin as they bare it all very tastefully I must add. The awesome thing about this ad is that they don’t appear to be photoshopped at all or at least not on their bodies. Visible are the love handles and pouches that must women have on their abdomens from having a baby or just a little too much fast food.
This Body Image Revolution is catching on as more and more companies are showcasing women that truly represent America. These women are bold and extremely comfortable in their own skin as they bare it all. Designers are taking notice of this and adding full figure lines to their collections.
Finally plus size women are getting the attention that they deserve. I don’t think this is a trend. This is a bold statement of gorgeous women in action who deserve to be treated just like their thinner counterparts.
